RIP OpenClaw

Agents

The time has come:

  • RIP OpenClaw
  • Hello Grok Bot

After a handful of posts about it, it deserves a proper send-off ๐Ÿ˜….

Keeping it alive was quite a bit of work: it's open source, so updating was a task on its own as something would always break.

Using it well also meant figuring out memory, token consumption strategies and a tight leash on cost, which was great as I learned a ton.

Last weekend I moved everything to Grok Bot.

Updates are seamless now, and knowing how agents work under the hood still helps (it makes you better at using the tools), but it's not something I have to manage constantly anymore.

What surprised me the most: the onboarding. What a great UX. Another huge plus: having its own computer changes what you can do and opens up so many possibilities.

I'll share cool use cases I find here.
